it is on the wind, catch it - love

Here is my newest piece that goes with the typewriter in the last post. It is papers flying on the wind and one of them says love. It is called "It is on the wind, catch it - love".  It is a really powerful piece and part of a new series I am working on with typewriters as a main image.  I will be creating several pieces with papers in the wind.

Love in Type

I am working on a series of loosely painted pieces with a typewriter as the main image. The typewriter is special because it can only type positive words. I will be doing an entire series on this. I think sometimes what the world would be like if we were forced to use positive words more often and didn't have the option of negative words. of course it is better in person as all pieces are. It is going to be going to Rouge Gallery on Saturday to be displayed.  The series is called "Paraph" paraph is the florish at the end of a signature. With the age of computers we rarely see an original signature with a florish.

more coffee mugs for the 365 days of coffee

I am well into a new project and need the help of cyberspace/social media.

I am collecting images of coffee mugs. I am asking people to send me an image of their favorite coffee mug and the number of cups of coffee they drink in a day.

I am making the photos into linocut prints and printing the number of prints that corresponds to the number of cups consumed.  Send me a photo via twitter/instagram  @moniquesart or at my website contact above.

Here are seven new mugs. These are proofs, they are not the final pieces.
